Poshmark - Shop my closet!

So I finally found a way to part with some of my favorite pieces in my closet... And just clothes that are in excellent condition in general! I'm sure we've all gone through those days where you just won't let go of that favorite sweater, jeans, or tee shirt... just waiting for the right opportunity to add it to your outfit rotation. Okay, mostly us women do that. I for one am completely guilty.

I discovered PoshMark through social media not too long ago but it didn't catch my interest until recently when I finally downloaded the app. I had been wanting to go to my favorite consignment shop but here in Washington State things are a little slow going and so the shop isn't exactly in the shopping center nearby. It's like an hour away:-P Luckily I have found the convenience of posting up my wardrobe I'd like to see go to a new home! The Poshmark app is really easy to use and start posting in no time.

If you enjoy thrift shopping and high end bargains, I definitely recommend this app. And please stop by and follow my closet @rarebliss B-)

Changes, Everything Changes.

I had a blog post about 2013 and I realized that half of the year was one of the worst times in my Life. However, by the 2nd half of 2013 things were definitely starting to look up! I was able to find a better stable job, in turn of making better pay for the benefit of my husband and I. I was much happier than I had been from my previous job. And good things began to surround me. I was thankful and still am for the positive changes in my Life. I left all negativity that I could.

2014, I wanted to start fresh again. Set goals and accomplish them like most people strive for. After my birthday in January, my husband and I bought a new car. I went on a whim by joining the Y (gotta exercise somehow and someway!). And I've also made small changes like renaming my blog/Instagram from rarebliss to elloladyjane (^_-) We're getting on track and I'm really excited for the challenges this year brings us. I've decided I don't want to be brought down by negative energy. What are you up to this year?

Toothaches & Dental Woes.

We've all gotten through January 2013, Yay! But February continues on with my "dental woes" as I'd like to call it. In January, my birthday came and went... And that's when everything started...
I noticed my gums were becoming more and more sensitive, which in this case my husband and I began to look for a Dentist. Now let's back track a bit... Adult life = adult responsibilities. I never really had to worry about making any type of health appointments. When I was covered under my parents plans, they made the appointments, when I got my own health plan at 21 years, well I ended up moving up to Washington State to be with my husband. And when we were apart of Military coverage well, it was easy and not needed. This past year, I had decided to withdraw from dual coverage and primarily moved to my husband's health plan (since it's way better!).
Fast forward to a couple week ago, I was in desperate need of a check-up, and finally after a recommendation my husband booked a time slot with our new dentist. Tuesday the 21st was my visit to be exact! I was quite nervous even though I prefer the dentist over a hospital visit. It went pretty well, they were very nice, and I went home with my prescription.
A week later, gum pain and toothaches. It gotten pretty bad that I could barely talk. So I went back for an emergency visit. Got two new prescriptions. And the next couple days up until now has been a challenge. Pain wise.
I must say, I've never felt much pain as I had within the past 2 weeks than I've had felt in my life. Not to mention I haven't taken as much medication ever as well. I could barely concentrate on anything aside from the discomfort and aches that I feel. I could hardly talk or even get through a shift at work without having to just leave or go into a "zone". It's been a little depressing.
So remember kids and adults, wisdom teeth are not your friend. But a Dentist is! Don't forget to get your check-ups!! I'm awaiting my follow up for next week. I sure wish it were sooner.
P. S. Sorry for the poor blogging/writing. I'm still not 100% focused:-P

My Father.

Last night as I was headed to bed when my brother gave me a call. I thought it was an unusual time to be calling but didn't think anything of it... That is, but until I immediately listened to his voice mail. He said, "Hi Jenny, Dad is in the Hospital..." I didn't even listen to the rest as I was in shock. It was late and I needed to rest.

It was 5:48am this morning when my mind began to race again. What happened? I remember I sent a couple text messages before I headed to bed. This morning I saw the responses, "Dad had a stroke" "Dad had a heart attack" "Dad collapsed and he's in the hospital.". It was reality and I'm still in shock. I tried to go about my morning. I was headed into work early to get the rest of my work done. Oh work.

As I pulled into my work's parking slot, I took a deep breath in and out. I could do this, I had to do this, I have to keep busy... I went in clocked in and sat at my desk, ready to start my routine (deep breathes in and out) and then my coworker came to ask me how my morning was going. All I could really do is respond honestly and I burst into tears. I was trying so hard to keep busy and be strong, sooner or later everyone wS asking me... I was jittery and couldn't concentrate. And my boss kindly sent me home.

When I got home, it was quiet. I sent a text to my husband and changed back into home clothes. I laid on the couch for two hours before realizing how hungry I was. I sat at the dinner table and called my brother and cried. My dad is in the hospital, back in my home state of California (as I'm 740 miles away from home), in an induced state of coma, sleeping in hopes of recovery and there's nothing I can really do.

The rest of my day went as followed:
- Finally ate something, instant noodle soup to be exact.
- Sat quietly contemplating about Life.
- Talked to my eldest sister (for 2 hours, trying to lighten the mood).
- Vacuumed the Abode.
- Laid down, quietly reading a book until the hubby got home.
- Hubby came home and I began to cry again.
- We sat for a good hour I'd say talking. Well, me talking about my dad and life...
- Tried to take a nap.
- My brother and sister called to update me on my dad's status.
- Finally exhausted myself and napped for a half hour.
- Cooked Curry Dinner with the hubby and ate.
- Watched a bit of TV.
- Bed by 8pm...

And here I lay, typing this up on my phone. I just had to document, to share, to explain. I've been worried and crying all day... And now I just want to feel hopeful. Hopeful that might dad will fight his way through. He's not ready to go... I'm not ready for him to go. God please hear my prayers.

My Dad is expected to be awoken tomorrow, he needs a heart defibrillator to live better.

Update soon......

The Infrequent Blogger.

I've always enjoyed the concept of blogging. An online journal for sharing your thoughts, opinions, dreams. Being able to say things that are easier written (or in this case, typed) than said. Sharing photos and memories. Its easier said than done.

With today's trends less really is more. Just look at tumblr and twitter. And its always a "like" ..."love"..."hate"... reply, retweet, repost ...RE -something! All personal touches are out the door. All extended conversations are acronyms.

Before I get sidetracked (though I think I already did), as much as I would like to blog everyday...or even every other day...or one a week! I never seem to find time to be as consistent with making posts here but I enjoy reading other blogs. When real Life doesn't take over:-) So if you find yourself wanting to see what I'm up to, view my links to my other creative outlets and of course...you can find me on Instagram:-D

Oh how I love life!!!

01 January 2012; Cake Pops.

I told my coworker last week that I was going to make Cake Pops today...the first day of the year (mainly because my husband will have finally be able to have chocolate again to be a taste tester! Long story.....)...and I have! I'm quite excited.

31 December 2011, Last Day of the Year.

2011...had so many amazing opportunities for my husband and myself. I feel very blessed for all the time we've spent together, making up for all those times the military had him away from home. I had the most amazingly epic adventures with my friends who came up to visit...I overcame plenty of obstacles in my decisions and life...

Overall, this year was one of the greatest and challenging years of my life.

I'm so ready for more.
2012,
Lets do this!!!

03/30 | 30 Day Blog Challenge

3. Where have you been spending your time lately? Three/Five/Ten years ago would you have expected to be there?

+ I have find myself spending a lot of my time at work lately. ALL I ever is work and most days I feel like I don't have time for anything else because once I'm done with work I just want to relax. I knew eventually I would be working but I never thought it would have the affect it has on my life right now. I used to work two full time jobs and never rest...never stopping...I would hang out with friends anytime.

I guess that's what happens sometimes. Life slows you down but eventually I'll find a good rhythm again:-)

02/30 | 30 Day Blog Challenge

2. Who are you? In comparison to who you used to be. What made you change?

+ I feel I'm the same person, just wiser and more independent. I haven't really changed...I grew up. I still have the same dreams, same goals in life plus additional ones. I'm stronger and more driven yet laid-back. I remember little things used to bother me. But that's out the door...I've moved on in my life and I've learned there are certain things you shouldn't spend your whole life worry. I've learned that all people have some kind of good in them but you can't trust all of them. I've learned to appreciate the relationships/friendships in my life even they don't last. And I've learned to be comfortable in my own skin.

I'm still me and happier:-)

01/30 | 30 Days Blog Challenge

1. What happened today? If it was the last day of your life, how satisfied would you be with your final hours?

+ Today I did my normal bit of waking up, getting ready, and going to work. It was a very easy day, in fact in most cases I feel it may have been to easy. Afterwards I came home to relax and calm my mind. My husband and I had pizza delivery for dinner. I spent hours just alone to my thoughts in our room while he played some videogames...easy day.

On a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being VERY SATISFIED), I'd maybe say 4, more satisfied than most. It may have been an easy day but it was filled with hard work and far from perfection. Spending the whole day with my husband, with family and friends would have been icing on the cake. But nonetheless I can say yes...having that my finals hours of today will be spent with my husband and our strange cats;-)
